GuestThanks very much Elisabeth, I will definitely buy your book . Looking through the information you have on your website your approach seems very similar to my views on IC, particularly around diet. Though many diets in the past haven’t helped me, last year following the clever guts diet ( which focuses on improving the gut microbiome ) seemed a key part of my recovery. I am planning to restart that diet together with supplements which helped last year. Glad you find acupuncture helpful too, I have used it for many years and feel it is key to my well being. I will keep you posted on how things progress for me. Thanks again for such an inspiring website !

GuestHello, My name is Jen. To start with I have been suffering from UTI from months to over a year now, it comes & goes (seems all antibiotics I tried is not working). Finally, I consulted a Urologist and with so many tests I was diagnosed with IC. He gave me 2 choices to do DMSO or take Elmiron 100mg capsule, I chose Elmiron that costs $1,321 but thanks to my insurance cost me only $30. This disease affects my life so miserable with excruciating pain and never ending go to the doctor trying to solve the problems.
I’m willing to do in my power to follow what it takes, just not to flare-up my condition. First step is I will get your book.
I live in a very simple life, loves to travel and always keep in touch with family.

KeymasterJennifer,
Thank you for reaching out. Your willingness to fight IC and do whatever it takes to get better is where healing begins. The hardest part is often changing direction or stepping out and trying something new. You have come to the right place and you can absolutely reverse your IC symptoms. I wish you the very best on your journey to health and wellness- ElisabethShanda
GuestHi. My name is Shan and I was diagnosed with IC a month ago. For the past 11 years I have been dealing with off and on bladder and urethral pain and urgency and frequency, with a diagnosis of OAB. I finally had enough and went to a different doctor, had 4 or 5 tests done and got the diagnosis of IC. Lately everything has been a lot more on than off, and I’m feeling lousy, but I don’t want to do the treatments the doctor wants to do — lavages, which I’m sure is the same as instillations. I can’t afford the drug they wanted me to take (elmiron) and I don’t think I would if I could. I am the taking CystaQ supplement he prescribed and following the IC diet (mostly). I’m doing research on alternative methods, and I’m so glad to have found this website and forum. I just ordered the How I Got My Life Back book. I am determined to get mine back too.
I love the Arts, but I only dabble in it some and would like to do more. I love animals. I have a dog and 2 cats right now. There are so many things I enjoy doing, and I want to feel good again so I can get back to doing them! When I’m having a flare I feel like I can’t do anything. -
